Clean & Polish

Clean, Oil, Adjust or COA

Considered yearly maintenance for flute and piccolo because of the high tolerances in professional instruments and the need for quick and precise key action. Involves disassembly of the instrument and keys, polishing all of the mechanism and body, removing any small dents if possible and changing the headjoint cork. Torn pads are replaced, and worn bumper cork or felt can also be replaced. Can be done for all woodwinds flute, piccolo, clarinet, oboe, and all saxes. An instrument which has sluggish keywork and, dust or dirt in the mechanism and possibly pads which are not covering properly. Some flutes which have tone holes which are extremely uneven may need extra tone hole work, which would be an extra charge.
